CBCC recently completed a 3,892-square-foot interior upfit for a new Steel City Pizza location in the Carolina Park development, delivering a modern and welcoming dining destination for the Mount Pleasant community. The project, which opened to the public in April 2026, reflects the continued growth of both the Steel City Pizza brand and the vibrant Carolina Park corridor.
The scope of work included the full interior construction of the restaurant within an existing shell space, transforming it into a fully operational dining and bar environment. The upfit features a complete commercial kitchen installation, dining area buildout, bar area, and supporting back-of-house spaces, all tailored to meet the functional needs of a high-volume restaurant.
CBCC coordinated closely with the ownership team and design partners to ensure the space aligned with Steel City Pizza’s established brand while optimizing layout efficiency and customer experience. The finished space integrates casual dining elements with a lively, community-focused atmosphere, supporting both dine-in and takeout operations.
Despite the typical challenges associated with restaurant upfits—including tight schedules, coordination of specialized kitchen equipment, and integration within an active mixed-use development, CBCC delivered the project on time for its April 2026 opening.
This completed restaurant adds to the growing retail and dining offerings within Carolina Park and reinforces the area’s role as a key destination for residents and visitors in Mount Pleasant. Upon completion, this milestone project will stand as CBCC’s 110th completed restaurant, reflecting the company’s continued growth and experience in the industry.
